TOKYO DESIGN COLLECTIVE (TDC) is a design team from Tokyo that incorporates Japanese product design and craftsmanship to create new design concepts.
This collection is titled "BLOCK BY BLOCK" and features VANS' iconic checkerboard pattern in a variety of colors and materials. The name

SK8-MID comes from an episode in which a skater cut the ankle pads of a SK8-HI to customize it around 1980.
The upper is made of nubuck leather, oiled leather, and herringbone fabric to express a worn-in texture.

The foxing tape is printed with "STYLE 83 DESIGNED IN TOKYO".
